Golden Rule Skin Clinic is a dermatology practice located in Doniphan, Nebraska. Owners Andrea Chrisman, MSN, APRN-FNP and Trent Chrisman LMT began this practice in 2018 to provide the highest quality of dermatological care to Hastings and surrounding areas. Their strong faith and belief in providing quality care at fair prices is shared through a Direct Pay Care (DPC) model.
DPC is a practice and payment model where patients pay directly for dermatology care services.* There are no contracts with insurance or third-party payers. This up-and-coming form of healthcare is gaining momentum in the United States because of the rising healthcare costs, skyrocketing premiums and higher deductibles. This payment model saves patients money with 100% transparent, insurance-free pricing paid at the time of service.

Savings incurred by avoiding high costs of insurance contracts, regulations and mandates are passed
onto patients. Golden Rule Skin Clinic provides care for patients with all private insurance types, the
uninsured, and Christian-sharing programs. Medicare patients will appreciate the small practice and
focused, unrushed care they receive in our clinic. Although we do not submit bills to their insurance,
Medicare patients enjoy discounted services. Medicaid patients may also be seen in our clinic. They
should expect, however, to pay their visit costs and prescription costs with provided coupons.
Our goal is to provide individualized patient care with a focus on adequate time spent with each patient; education regarding diagnoses; and transparency and fairness in the cost of care. Led by the Golden Rule, our daily goal is to provide top-quality dermatology care and to treat every patient with respect.
In today’s healthcare world, providers are forced to see large numbers of patients in order to maintain a sustainable profit due to regulations, paperwork and administrative costs. The money and time saved in this model are passed along to you, the patient. And rather than rushing through your lists of concerns in a 3-10 minute visit, you can have our undivided attention for as long as you need at costs much lower than traditionally paid. *Upon request, an invoice can be provided for patients to submit to their insurance for possible reduction in their deductible. Medicaid is not accepted, but patients may be seen for reduced visit price. Medicare patients who wish to sign a private contract with provider that acknowledges no claims will be submitted by patient or provider to Medicare. All payments will be made in full at the time of service.

Andrea Chrisman
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Family Nurse Practitioner
Andrea Chrisman, MSN, APRN-FNP is the head practitioner. She has over 17 years of dermatology experience combined as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. Andrea graduated from UNMC College of Nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2010. She has practiced with Dermatologists and MOHS surgeons in Nebraska and California. Andrea is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Andrea sees all dermatology conditions in patients of all ages. The clinic serves patients locally in Hastings and draws patients from all over South-Central Nebraska and Northern Kansas. Also, the clinic extends care to two outreach clinics in Kearney and York, Nebraska.
Andrea and Trent opened Golden Rule Skin Clinic in 2018 to offer a new option for patients seeking dermatology care. Costs of health care continue to rise while time spent with patients seems to dwindle. The Direct Pay Model of affordable, individualized health care is one answer.
Alisha Lautenschlager, PA-C
Alisha Lautenschlager is a physician assistant who is nationally certified. She was born and raised in the Central Nebraska area. She attended undergraduate school at University of Nebraska at Kearney and then went on to receive her Master of Physician Assistant degree from Union College at Lincoln. Alisha has been serving healthcare needs in the Central Nebraska region for over 13 years.
Alisha has a combined 10 years of dermatology experience. Her patients appreciate herpersonalized care, concern, and knowledge. Alisha cares for patients at the Hastings location on Monday and Thursday.
Michaela Gulzow, APRN
Michaela Gulzow is a nurse practitioner who has nearly five years of experience. She was born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska. Michaela received her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Creighton University in 2019. She is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner and emergency nurse practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Michaela has focused her interests on dermatological care and medical aesthetics. She is happy to provide individualized, affordable healthcare to all of her patients. Her goal is for all of her patients to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.
Trent Chrisman
Business Manager
Trent Chrisman, Licensed Massage Therapist finished his training in December 2020 at the Universal College of Healing Arts in Omaha, Nebraska. His interest of the human body and the overall well-being inspired him to take a new journey in helping clients. True health cannot be achieved by focusing on one certain area but rather helping the body work together in harmony: mind, body, and soul.
